What does the app keep?
- On the phone only: the child’s name Sara uses (optional), the pages finished and their stars, and your settings.
- On our server, without an account: an anonymous device token (which identifies no one), the pages finished and pronunciation scores, daily usage counters, subscription status from the store, and the notification address if you allowed notifications.
- If you create an account (optional): the name and email that Google or Apple give us, and the account’s two phones (their model and technical identifier).
- Never kept: voice recordings, conversation text with Sara, or camera images. These are processed in the moment and then discarded.
Steps to delete your data
- Your account: in the app, go to Parents’ Corner → My Account → Delete Account. The account (name, email and phones) is deleted from our servers immediately.
- Data on the phone: uninstall the app, or go to the phone’s Settings → Apps → Kitabcom → Clear data. The name, progress and token are deleted from the phone immediately.
- Progress on our server: email privacy@kitabcom.com with the subject “Delete Kitabcom data”. We need nothing except your request; if you have an account, write from the same email. We delete everything linked to the token within 7 days and confirm by email. You can also ask by email to delete your account if the app is no longer on your phone.
What is deleted and what is kept?
