What Should a KG2 Child Know?
- All 26 letters by name and sound, writing lowercase letters alone: letter sounds.
- A word’s first sound: hearing ball and writing b. Practice with vowels and after the alphabet.
- Reading three-letter words: cat, sun, pen. See reading a first word.
- Curriculum words with pictures: all with audio in the KG2 workbook.
- Numbers to 10 (or 20): the numbers lesson.
How to Review Before the Exam (One Week)
- Days 1 and 2: the interactive alphabet test, then review the letters your child missed on their pages.
- Days 3 and 4: words from the KG2 workbook with audio: 10 words a day, then a “Look and Write” sheet.
- Day 5: reading 10 three-letter words by sound.
- Day 6: do this sample exam in full, without help.
- Day 7: mistakes only, then rest.
