A Weekly Plan for KG1 (10 Minutes a Day)

| Saturday | A new letter: its name, sound and song from the letter’s page, then tracing. |
| Sunday | 3 words from the week’s topic: picture and audio, and your child repeats them. |
| Monday | A second letter + review Saturday’s letter. |
| Tuesday | 3 more words + the unit’s chant, with actions. |
| Wednesday | One worksheet (tracing or matching). |
| Thursday | A game: “Where’s the…?” with the six words, and a star on the chart. |

Parents’ Questions About KG1 English
What is in the KG1 English curriculum?
In most Arab schools: the letters A to Z by name, sound and tracing; 60 to 80 words with pictures (greetings, family, colors, numbers to 10, animals, the body); and two spoken answers: What’s your name? and How are you? This workbook covers all of it, with audio.
Does it suit Egypt’s Connect KG1 curriculum?
Yes. The Connect KG1 words (greetings, colors, numbers, family, animals, the body) are the same here, with the letters and their sounds. The difference is that every word here has audio, a picture and a worksheet.
How do I download the KG1 workbook PDF?

Do KG1 children write?
They only trace letters over dots. Writing on their own comes in KG2 and Grade 1.
After KG1?
Your child moves on to the KG2 workbook: all the letter sounds and reading first words.
